According to Techcrunch, the company is getting 20 billion pageviews a month, up from 15 billion at the beginning of the year. Will it be acquired by Facebook in 2013? Someone seems to think so: “If Facebook isn’t thinking of buying Tumblr, it should be.” One thing is for certain, FB will take action wherever it sees a threat. I think 2013 could be another interesting year for social media and I’m sure there will be further consolidation by the big players (Facebook, Google and Apple).
